Reflecting Japanese traditional colors in the chopsticks. Japan has more than 1000 of traditional colors inspired from beautiful scenery of the four seasons from flower and nature. The name of the colors reflect the country's love for nature and the unique Japanese sense of beauty. 

This series of chopsticks is made from natural bamboo for the base and coated with vibrant Wakasa lacquer. 

ABOUT THE BRAND

In the coastal town of Obama, Fukui Prefecture, artisans continue a 400-year tradition of chopstick-making known as Wakasa-nuri. Founded in 1943, Kawai remains one of Japan’s most respected family run producers, blending time honored craftsmanship with modern functionality.

• Finish: Smooth and balanced for comfortable daily use

Finished with traditional lacquer technique and a protective modern coating. Hand washing remains best for longevity but the finish supports daily use including dishwasher under moderate conditions.
